As always this piece was hand cut and fused in my studio. There are over 40 pieces of glass making up this usable art! This is a sushi platter but is works equally as well serving fruit or cheese Don't put this away in behind a closed door. Keep this out on your breakfast bar or display on you coffee table or on your bathroom vanity.
Using two pieces of clear glass to create thickness and arrainging the remaining 40 hand cut art glass to create this dramatic motif. Placed in the kiln and fired in a full fuse schedle taking approximately 8 hours to fire, 12 hours to cool. After cooling, it was slumped to create the graceful curved shape.
The platter measures 11" long X 5 13/4" wide.
Food safe, but please pamper me and hand wash - I am functional art! Don't throw me into the dishwasher with the pot you cooked your rice in :^)
