Original Artist signed wall art was crafed in my home studio. Beautiful peacock is made of iridescent art glass in blues and greens.
All my art starts by creating a sketch. Once satisfied by the design, the sketch is brought to life by a several step process beginning by selecting the glass, scoring and breaking glass in the required shapes. Then comes the washing, assembling the shapes and firing the glass in the kiln. This piece was fired using a tack fuse program which makes the 3 dimensional effect.
The glass art is then cemented upon the original watercolor background, then matted and framed. Shadow box measures approximately 11" X 9", the glass art piece measures 5 3/4" X 3 3/4"
Although fused with care and fully annealed, all work is glass and can break under severe conditions.
