Fused sushi platter in clear iridescent and green aventurine glass house warming gift wedding gift

Wow! This platter sparkles! Between using an iridescent clear glass background and the green aventurine glass this is art that is functional. As always this piece was hand cut using 39 pieces of glass and fused in my studio. This is a sushi platter but is works equally as well serving fruit or cheese. Take advantage of this piece by showing off its beautiful sparkle by lighting up some votive candles using as a center piece.
This piece is made with two firings. The first firing was in a full fuse schedule taking 8 hours to fire, 12 hours to cool. After cooling, it was slumped to create the graceful curved shape.
The platter measures 10 3/4" long X 5 1/2" wide.
Food safe, but please pamper me and hand wash - I am functional art! Don't throw me into the dishwasher with the pot you cooked your rice in :^)
