Garden Gnome fused glass plant stake. Fairy Garden. Mother’s Day gift. Birthday Gift.

$21.00
Everyone knows a Gnome collector! Purchase for yourself, or your bff.

These are sold separately, so pick your favorite when checking out. These little cuties will protect your peas in your vegetable garden, your fairies in your fairy garden or your petunias in your window box.

Made in my home studio. This is my own original design and all hand cut with no precut glass pieces used. These little guys require two kiln firings because of their 3D nose feature. The first firing is to make the body and the clear glass stake as well as making the nose that will be attached in the second firing. The full fuse firing takes approximately 7 hours, with an additional 7-9 hours to anneal and cool. Then the pieces go into the kiln for the second round where the nose is attached using a tack fuse schedule taking another 5 hours.

Gnomes measure approximately 4.5” tall X 2” wide - all are slightly different because my pattern is eyeballed. Everything is "ish" in my art world. Full length from top of hat to bottom of cleaner stake is anywhere from 7 - 9".

If you live in a colder climate, please bring him in during the cold months and stick him in a house plant until the spring. All my work is fully annealed for strength, but this is still glass and can suffer from thermal shock and break if left out in extreme cold.

Thank you for visiting my shop.
