Love this Mixed media fused glass and drift wood sculpture. Sailboats crafted with transparent fused glass. Looks especially great with light shining behind it! Great house warming gift for the water people in your group.
As usual, my art is original starting with a concept drawing, hand cut and scored art class. Each piece of glass is washed, dried and assembled in layers with special hight temp wire sandwiched between the art glass and clear glass. Each sail boat was then fired on a tack fuse schedule to maintain the crisp lines I desired for this matel art. This piece measures approximately 13" long X 5 " at from table top to top of center sail.
The driftwood was harvested from the wonderful Canandaigua lake located in the Finger Lakes region in NY.
