This is a fun sun catcher to hang in a window of your home, patio or Christmas tree. The sun catcher was crafted using clear art glass pink and black streaky opalescent glass. Painted eyes were added before firing to give the cute expression. After putting the hand cut pieces together, it was placed in kiln in my home studio on a full fuse schedule. After cooling came the drilling of holes and assembling all the elements of 18 gage galvanized wire to craft the hanger and dangling legs that move in the breeze. I added a ceramic bead for a little style.
Measures from top of hanger to bottom of birdie feet is 5 1/2" H, 3 1/4" from beak to tail feathers.
